Ripon Hospital is a Community Hospital staffed by a team of nurses. The medical care is provided by doctors from all the practices in Ripon. The Hospital facilities include an in-patient ward, a palliative care unit, an out-patient department with clinics by consultants from Harrogate District Hospital, a Minor Injuries Unit, physiotherapy and an x-ray and ultrasound department.
The Minor Injuries Unit is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm every day and is staffed by a nurse practitioner specialist in Minor Injuries.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with a private travel clinic to discuss your travel arrangements.

It is important to make the initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel.
When you quit smoking, it reduces your risk of illness, disability or death caused by cancer, heart or lung disease. Living Well Smokefree has a team of advisors who have plenty of experience in helping people to stop smoking for good. They will see anyone from the age of 12, have community based locations across North Yorkshire and can arrange home visits for people who have mobility issues.
If you are pregnant and would like to quit, you can access the service yourself or ask your midwife to refer you. You will be offered a choice of a home visit or an appointment in a clinic if you prefer.

The MSK Practitioner service is a new service, where Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is offered as an alternative to seeing your GP for a back, neck, muscle or trapped nerve pain. The specialist physiotherapist can assess, diagnose and offer advice and guidance on how to manage your symptoms.
Our MSK Practitioners are experienced specialist physiotherapist who also work at Harrogate District Hospital. They can also refer you to the hospital for further investigations or specialist treatment.
